Memorial Floating Lantern

Lanterns can be purchased on the day in the park but loved ones name won’t be printed on the lantern and will have to be written on.

A minimum suggested donation for a memorial floating lantern is £10, each kit contains:

  • Floating lantern with LED Candle
  • Personalisation station (where you can add your personal message to remember your loved one before placing it on the lake)

The price covers the cost of collecting and removing the floating lanterns from the lake following the event as well as cleaning up any trash that may have been previously been in or around the water.

Memorial photo on the big screen at the event

You can make a donation to have your loved one’s photo shown on the big screen during the service, you can upload this on our website or send this to fundraising@pendleside.org.uk. Last day to upload your photo is Sunday 11th May.

Sustainability

Lanterns will be cleaned up after the event by staff and volunteers. In addition, we pick up any trash that may have previously been in or around the water. The lanterns are made from rice paper so they are as eco-friendly as possible and we will reuse and recycle the LED candles
