Louise Hilton
Medical Director
Louise graduated in Medicine from the University of Liverpool in 2004. She began her career training and working as a GP, during which time she developed a strong interest in Palliative Medicine. This led her to specialise further, subsequently becoming a Specialist Doctor in Palliative Medicine.
Over the years, she has gained extensive experience across a wide range of palliative care settings including: community services, hospital-based care, and hospice environments — working throughout the Manchester area.
In September 2024, Louise joined Pendleside Hospice as Medical Director. In this role, she provides clinical governance, strategic leadership, and specialist palliative care input across all Hospice services. Her focus is ensuring the delivery of safe, compassionate, and high‑quality care.
