About the event

The circular 35 mile endurance event will take place on Saturday 7th September starting and finishing at Pendleside Hospice.

The Great Pendleside Trek will take in some of Burnley and Pendle’s beautiful countryside, including Pendle Hill and part of the Pendle Way. Participants can choose to run or walk the route. Walkers will set off at 6am and runners will set off at 8am. If you intend to run the route or part of the route, you must set off at 8am. All participants are required to finish no later than 9pm.
The Great Pendleside Trek is not a race and therefore will not be timed. For participants wishing to time themselves we suggest using an app such as Strava, fitness watch etc.

Start point

Participants have the option to complete the full 35 mile route or finish at either Barley (13 mile) or Laneshawbridge (21 mile) aid stations. The 6 aid stations will be positioned at various points along the route approximately every 5-7 miles (Sabden, Barley, Colne, Wycoller, Thursden Valley and Worsthorne). All participants must check in at each point with staff/volunteers on the day at each aid station.

Please note, participants will need to arrange their own transport to the start point (Pendleside Hospice- limited parking on site available) and from their chosen end point
