Our children’s support and counselling services may include play therapy, art as a form of expression, discussions about thoughts and emotions, and exploring the impact on their lives.
Our Family Support team uses a tailored, evidence-based 7-stage model to help children. This includes psychoeducation for both parents and children about symptoms, exploring thoughts and emotions to foster understanding and regulation, and addressing life changes.
Therapy may also focus on remembering loved ones and emotional planning for the future. Where appropriate, we offer a set number of one-to-one sessions, personalised to the child’s needs.
An impartial counsellor can provide children with a safe space to express themselves, which they may find difficult within their family.
