Compassionate Communities

Building a network of friendship and collaboration, Compassionate Communities aims to empower people in the local community to support one another and to make a difference.

Meeting every other month, Pendleside’s Compassionate Communities group come together to discuss ways to support the local community, in understanding death, dying, care and loss. Made up of a range of local people, including community groups, employers, places of worship and public services, we work together to improve end of life care and bereavement support for everyone who needs it.

We want to engage with all people, including those who may not have access to our support. We aim to connect groups together and share opportunities and resources, and in particular opening up conversations about death, dying and loss. If you would like to find out more about how you can get involved, please contact us.
