Friends of Pendleside

Friends of Pendleside is a special team consisting of people who give up their time to help us throughout the year with our fundraising events and various community appearances.

For many, fitting volunteering into a busy schedule with work, family, grandparent duties, and daily responsibilities can be challenging.

That’s why Friends of Pendleside offers flexible opportunities for anyone who wants to support our fundraising efforts throughout the year, without the need for a regular commitment. Even helping with just one event a year is greatly appreciated!

Joining this group is a wonderful way to give back to Pendleside without the weekly commitment required by other volunteering roles.

What we’re looking for

  • Christmas bag-packing
  • Event support
  • Setting up and dismantling events
  • Selling raffle tickets
  • Marshalling at walking or running events
  • Offering support at t-shirt collections for events such as the Pendle Pub Walk

The Benefits of Volunteering

Volunteering can also boost your confidence, provide valuable skills, and give you a sense of fulfillment knowing you’re making a real difference. Whether you’re looking for social connections or personal growth, volunteering with us is a rewarding experience for all.
