Helen McVey
Chief Executive
Helen has been Chief Executive of Pendleside Hospice in Burnley, Lancashire since January 2015, with experience of working in the hospice sector for over 20 years.
Helen first joined Pendleside in 2004 as Day Therapy Leader, before becoming Clinical Services Manager in 2006.
Helen joined the hospice sector following an extensive nursing career working in both the NHS and charitable sector. Having trained as a Registered Nurse at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge she spent her early nursing career working in hospitals in Glasgow and Ayrshire before leaving the NHS to work in the charity sector; initially working in a leadership role for MHA Care Group, a national care home and housing association charity which provides a range of services for older people across the United Kingdom.
